Pilot Plant Improvement
The primary purpose of this project was to upgrade the chilling and pasteurising capacity of Bailey’s Pilot Plant to better match production process parameters.
New heat exchangers were installed together with process pipework which was linked to new primary and secondary chilled water circuits to a new roof mounted chiller.
This allowed the Pilot plant to operate with the ability for single pass cooling which matched production cooling profile capability.
Further upgrades were made to the CIP circuits and control to bring pipe cleaning velocities and control in line with specification.
