Waterford Brewery Hygiene
The primary purpose of this project was to install a new method of acid dosing and control during the process CIP sterilant cycles for better accuracy and reduced acid usage together with validating tank cleaning.
The Hygiene Upgrade project had two major components:
Installation of flow meters into the sterilant lines to control dosing by volumetric measurement for each cleaning recipe. This included programme modifications to the SCADA system by recipe.
Internal tank cleaning utilized rotary spray nozzles, to ensure full tank cleaning was being achieved rotation sensors were added to monitor and count nozzle rotations. This was linked to a trend module to ascertain production and maintenance alarm levels.
