CDM Regulations 2015 are due for their quinquennial review this year.

The CDM Regulations 2015 are due for their quinquennial review this year by the Health and Safety Executive . Early indications and industry rumours suggest that proposed changes will focus on Principal Designer competencies. Further evolvement of the Principal Designer role should perhaps come as no surprise. The inaugural 1994 Regulations involved the role of the ‘Planning Supervisor’, which evolved into the ‘CDM Coordinator’ in 2007, before becoming the ‘Principal Designer’ that those within the industry should now be all too familiar with. Conversely, the Principal Contractor role has been a mainstay since day one. With each revision of the CDM Regulations, we have also seen more and more emphasis placed upon the Client. Whatever the outcome of the review, Malone Group will continue to deliver best-in-class CDM management and advice to all our customers, both existing and new.
